Softball Recap: North East Triumphs

North East got themselves on the board against Harford Tech on Monday, but Harford Tech never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Cobras. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jahnel Ledford was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

North East's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Harford Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

North East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harford Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Perryville at 4:00 p.m.
