Softball Game Preview: Moore Haven Terriers vs. LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls

The Moore Haven Terriers will face off against the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, LaBelle is headed out to face a Terriers team ready to give their home crowd a win. Moore Haven fell 11-8 to Vero Beach on Friday. The Terriers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Charisma Micco was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Micco was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Preslynn Baker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Neska Blissett, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, LaBelle was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 12-2 to Fort Myers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cowboys/Cowgirls have suffered since April 9, 2024.

Moore Haven came up short against LaBelle in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 6-3. Can Moore Haven avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
