Baseball Recap: Conant Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Conant won the last time they faced Addison Trail and things went their way on Friday too. Conant put the hurt on Addison Trail with a sharp 15-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Connor Kehoe looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Alex Martinez was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Szpiganowicz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Conant's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Addison Trail, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Conant will venture away from home to challenge Niles North at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Addison Trail, they will welcome West Chicago at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
