Bath extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates. The Fighting Bees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Pewamo-Westphalia, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 11, 2024.

For Pewamo-Westphalia's part, the team relied heavily on Summer Wirth, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Wirth has brought in this season.
