It was a good run, but Mogollon unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Phoenix Christian Cougars by a score of 14-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (ten), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Hadley Porter and Quinn Tenney did some serious damage despite the final result: Porter went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and one run, while Tenney went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Cort Porter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Mogollon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Phoenix Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Mogollon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-8 win against Benjamin Franklin on the 12th. As for Phoenix Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Round Valley on the 12th.
