Softball Recap: Olmsted Falls Victorious

Olmsted Falls's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Avon Eagles 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

MOLLY SHEEHAN spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Olmsted Falls secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was ASHLEY SCOTT, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was SCOTT's first of the season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Avon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
