Basketball Recap: Dulce Comes Up Short

Dulce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-12 defeat at the hands of the Mesa Vista Trojans. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-4.

It was another big night for Tana Lopez, who went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points along with eight steals and five assists for Mesa Vista. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Maestas, who posted nine points and seven assists.

Dulce's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mesa Vista, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Dulce will face off against McCurdy at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Mesa Vista, they will be playing at home against Los Alamos at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mesa Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
