Basketball Recap: Jeremiah Brown Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Aledo

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Denton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They snuck past the Aledo Bearcats with a 45-40 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Brown, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sheats, who scored nine points.

Denton's win bumped their record up to 19-14. As for Aledo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 27-7.

Looking ahead, Denton will take on Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully Denton likes a good challenge. Aledo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
