Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 45-12 victory over Norwell. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers found their leader in sophomore Epperson, who rushed for 93 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Brandon Gaither Ii also rushed for 147 rushing yards, which is notable because Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is 4-2 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Thomas Reichert was another key player, throwing for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dereon Carswell, Brayden Mygrant, and Christian Brell picked up one apiece. Brell also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.
Meanwhile, Mississinewa entered their tilt with Jay County on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 36-7 win over the Patriots. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Patriots are ranked 204th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mississinewa's win came from a few key players Fort Wayne Bishop Luers will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Schwartz, who punched in one rushing score, and also threw for 90 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Levi Crandall, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Mississinewa's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Crandall, who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.
