Basketball Recap: Johns Creek Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Johns Creek had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Meadowcreek Mustangs 54-29 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-30 back in November of 2024.

Leading Johns Creek to victory were Grace Landeck and Savannah Jenkins. Landeck posted 14 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Jenkins earned 16 points along with seven boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Jenkins a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Emily Jackson, who put up seven points and ten boards.

Johns Creek's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-17. As for Meadowcreek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Johns Creek has already played their next contest, a 74-36 defeat against Milton on the 31st. Meadowcreek has also already played their next game (against Duluth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
