Volleyball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Carroll Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-10, 25-6.

Reagan Lyons paced Homestead's offense, picking up five kills. Lyons got some help from Avary Heady and her 12 assists. Caya Nelson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cala Haffner was a one-woman wrecking crew For Carroll. as she had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Haffner has posted since back in November of 2024.

Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Carroll, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Homestead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 28th. As for Carroll, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fort Wayne Snider on the 28th.
