Basketball Game Preview: Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings vs. Germantown Warhawks

The Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Germantown Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wisconsin Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Wisconsin Lutheran is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Breck just ended the team's 41-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 67-64. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in Wisconsin, while the Mustangs are ranked 76th in Minnesota).

Meanwhile, Germantown ended up a good deal behind West Allis Central on Saturday and lost 90-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (68), the Warhawks still had to take the loss.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wisconsin Lutheran fell to 11-1. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Everything came up roses for Wisconsin Lutheran against Germantown when the teams last played back in February of 2021, as the team secured an 80-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wisconsin Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
