Basketball Recap: Paint Valley Comes Up Short

Paint Valley managed to keep up with Huntington until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Paint Valley Bearcats lost 60-36 to the Huntington Huntsmen. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huntsmen earlier this season, when they won 63-60.

Despite the loss, Paint Valley still got an impressive performance from Jase Rinehart, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brennen Ison, who posted five points.

Paint Valley is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Huntington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Paint Valley will square off against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntington, they will face off against Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Huntington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
