Basketball Recap: Prosser Comes Up Short

Prosser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-50 to the Normal West Wildcats.

Among those leading the charge was Maliq Givens-Smith, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Zaleski, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Prosser's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Normal West, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Prosser will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Senn at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Normal West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rantoul at 2:30 p.m. on January 4th.
