Soccer Game Preview: Plant City vs. Jefferson

The Plant City Raiders will take on the Jefferson Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Plant City, who comes in off a win.

Jefferson better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Plant City really get things going. Plant City's defense stepped up to hand Hillsborough a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Raiders have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Brandon.

Plant City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five contests. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
