Baseball Recap: Moss Point Comes Up Short

Moss Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Poplarville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 last Tuesday.

Moss Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Evans, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Poplarville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

While Moss Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
