It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pinecrest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They took down the Union Pines Vikings 71-57. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Vikings last Friday, they had to take a 61-60 loss.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kingsley Donaldson, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Aiden Leonard, who posted 15 points.

Pinecrest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Union Pines, their record is now 14-11.

Pinecrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-61 defeat against Richmond on the 18th. Union Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
