Football Recap: Kennard-Dale Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Kennard-Dale's offense. They had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of the New Oxford Colonials. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Colonials are ranked 65th).

Alex Brown had an outrageously good game for New Oxford as he rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Brown's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Everett Ernst also helped with two scores in total.

Kennard-Dale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for New Oxford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennard-Dale will take on York Suburban at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Oxford, they will square off against West York Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonials' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 27.3 points per game this season.
