Cherry had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past Carlton/Wrenshall, posting a 54-19 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Anna Serna, who posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. She also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Cherry is 10-4 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-7 otherwise. Charli Kangas was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Cherry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Cherry pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Carlton/Wrenshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.
