Basketball Recap: Jesup Takes a Loss

Jesup was the 74-53 winner over Sumner-Fredericksburg when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Jesup J-Hawks took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the J-Hawks still had to take the loss.

Jesup's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Jesup will take on Union in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Union has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Sumner-Fredericksburg and Wapsie Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
