There's no place like home for McAllen Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Raiders last Tuesday, they had to take a 8-3 defeat.

McAllen Memorial's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Preza, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

McAllen Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-3.

Coincidentally, McAllen Memorial and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will both be playing McAllen the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
