Volleyball Recap: Torrington Gets the Win

While Torrington's win against Crosby wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders skirted past the Bulldogs 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Torrington was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-0.

Chloe Robinson paced Torrington's offense, picking up nine kills. Robinson got some help from Angelina Ciesco and her 19 assists. Ciesco also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Piper Robinson, each putting up five.

Torrington's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Crosby, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Torrington will head out to take on Granby Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crosby, they will venture away from home to face off against Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
