Basketball Recap: Haylee Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Balko/Forgan over Okarche

If Balko/Forgan was feeling good fresh off their 47-27 takedown of Hoops for Christ on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Balko/Forgan and the Okarche Warriors didn't end well, with Balko/Forgan falling 45-29. The matchup marked Balko/Forgan's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Balko/Forgan players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haylee Taylor, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Ott, who had eight points.

Balko/Forgan's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Okarche, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Balko/Forgan and Boise City will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Boise City will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Balko/Forgan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Okarche, they will welcome Watonga at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
