Soccer Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Washington can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Normal University Pioneers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Washington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Normal University are ranked 49th).

Washington has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10-1 record this season. As for Normal University, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3-1.

As of now, neither Washington nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
