Softball Recap: Crockett Comes Up Short

Crockett's tournament run continued when they took on Giddings on Friday. The Cougars took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffaloes. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crockett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaliyah McAfee, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Giddings, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7-1 record this season.

Crockett will be taking part in a tournament against Churchill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Giddings, they will venture away from home to face off against Hendrickson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
