Soccer Game Preview: Calhoun vs. Palacios

The Calhoun Sandcrabs will challenge the Palacios Sharks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Calhoun will be strutting in after a victory while Palacios will be coming in after a defeat.

Calhoun's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Wharton. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Sandcrabs this season.

Daisy Guerrero and Claire Flores scored all three of Calhoun's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Palacios came up short against El Campo on Tuesday, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Ricebirds: they've now lost four in a row.

Calhoun has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Palacios, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.
