Taylor is 9-1 against Finneytown since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Taylor will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Taylor gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Madeira. The game was the first time the Yellowjackets have beaten the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS on their field since April 22, 2019.

Charlie Kantz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Kantz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Kantz wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nick Paff, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Paff also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Taylor hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madeira struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, Finneytown lost 17-4 to Indian Hill on Wednesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Finneytown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Taylor, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Everything went Taylor's way against Finneytown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Taylor made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
