Pacifica Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over the San Gabriel Academy Eagles. Given the Tritons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Eagles are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pacifica Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Stewart led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Stewart is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was EJ Spillman, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists.

Pacifica Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Pacifica Christian pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for San Gabriel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Pacifica Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Gabriel Academy has also already played their next contest, a 73-42 win against Western Christian on the 4th.
