Football Recap: Howard Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Howard lost against West Laurens back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies took a blow against the Raiders, falling 46-7. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

West Laurens' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Cummings, who rushed for 175 yards and three scores while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Cummings showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards. Branden Brooks also helped out as he racked up 117 rushing yards.

Howard now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Laurens, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Howard has already played their next contest, a 43-19 defeat against Academy of Richmond County on the 12th. As for West Laurens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 56-0 victory against Cross Creek on the 12th.
