Basketball Game Preview: Dansville Aggies vs. Stockbridge Panthers

Dansville is 0-5 against Stockbridge since December of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Dansville Aggies will be taking part in a tournament against the Stockbridge Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dansville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy by a score of 50-38 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Stockbridge waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Rangers 87-39. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Stockbridge's win came from a few key players Dansville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zac Rogozinski, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (50%). Another player making a difference was Jacob Dalton, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 assists.

Stockbridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Dansville's victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-22. As for Stockbridge, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.

Dansville was dealt a bruising 67-27 defeat at the hands of Stockbridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dansville was down 38-9.
