East Catholic waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Maloney Spartans, posting an 82-53 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Spartans are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.
