Central Catholic has gone a perfect 4-0 against Shaler Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Central Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Pennsylvania's top teams: North Allegheny, who was ranked eighth at the time (Central Catholic was ranked third). The Vikings took down the Tigers 21-6 on Friday.

Central Catholic can attribute much of their success to Jayden Alexander, who rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 53 yards.

Another reason for the win was Central Catholic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Angelo Pugliano was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in North Allegheny's side was Roman Thompson, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Shaler Area had to suffer through a 36-7 loss at the hands of Penn Hills. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaler Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Central Catholic against Shaler Area when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-7 win. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
