Softball Recap: Farragut Admirals vs. Knoxville Central Bobcats
Farragut put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past the Knoxville Central Bobcats 13-4. The win was nothing new for Farragut as they're now sitting on three straight.
Addison Pressley was incredible, going 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Elsa Morrison, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
On Knoxville Central's side, Jordan Mayes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Mayes is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayleigh Singleton, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.
Farragut has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Knoxville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Farragut will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Farragut knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Grace Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Knoxville Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Christian Academy of Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Academy of Knoxville is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
