Softball Recap: Toutle Lake Ducks vs. Winlock Cardinals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Napavine, Toutle Lake was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Winlock Cardinals as the Toutle Lake Ducks made off with an 11-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Toutle Lake also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Audrey Kilponen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Kilponen has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Kilponen was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Paisley Fraidenburg was incredible, going 4-for-4 with a home run, four runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Casi, who went 3-for-4 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.
