Soccer Game Preview: Castro Valley vs. Bishop O'Dowd

Castro Valley is 0-8-2 against Bishop O'Dowd since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Castro Valley's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, neither Castro Valley nor San Leandro could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Arroyo. That draw made it three straight for Bishop O'Dowd.

Their goal came courtesy of Brady Barthmaier, who's now up to five this season.

Bishop O'Dowd's draw gives them a new season record of 3-3-4. As for Castro Valley, they moved theirs to 7-3-2.

Castro Valley couldn't quite get it done against Bishop O'Dowd when the teams last played back in February of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
