Scales Mound waltzed into their contest on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the North Boone Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Ellaina Kostenbader paced Scales Mound's offense, picking up eight kills. Kostenbader got some help from Campbell Hereau and her 17 assists. Finally, Lila Anderson kept Scales Mound's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Scales Mound's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for North Boone, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
