Preview: Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS vs. Lockland Panthers
The Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS will be playing at home against the Lockland Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madeira will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Even though Deer Park scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Madeira still came out on top. Madeira came out on top in a nail-biter against Deer Park and snuck past 59-57.
Madeira's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Manning led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Hopewell, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Lockland came up short against Miami Valley Christian Academy on Friday and fell 56-48. Lockland has struggled against Miami Valley Christian Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Madeira's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-14. As for Lockland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
