Baseball Recap: Mt. Gilead Comes Up Short

Mt. Gilead fell victim to Northmor and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Knights. The Indians have struggled against the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Mt. Gilead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Somerlot, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Somerlot's first of the season.

Mt. Gilead's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northmor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Mt. Gilead will welcome Shekinah Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Flames have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Northmor, they will venture away from home to face off against Danville at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
