Basketball Recap: Yazan Aldawi's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Young Americans Christian over Hills Academy + How To Watch

Young Americans Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between the Eagles and the Hills Academy Knights didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 67-53. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in January.

Young Americans Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Yazan Aldawi, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Montana Little, who posted 14 points and five assists.

Young Americans Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hills Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Young Americans Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Creation Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Hills Academy and Perry will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
