Volleyball Recap: California Academy of Math & Science Starts Season with Victory Against Bellflower

California Academy of Math & Science had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Bellflower Buccaneers 3-0 on Thursday. The Coyotes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant California Academy of Math & Science was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-13.

Bellflower is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, California Academy of Math & Science will head out on the road to take on Cabrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bellflower, they will be playing at home against Carson at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
