Basketball Recap: Noa Sanchez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boerne over Tivy

Boerne lost against Tivy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Boerne Greyhounds took a hard 76-60 fall against the Tivy Antlers. The Greyhounds' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noa Sanchez, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Hernandez, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Boerne's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Tivy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-14.

Boerne and Tivy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Boerne (ranked 285th) will meet Veterans Memorial (ranked 138th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tivy (ranked 407th) will meet Pieper (ranked 183rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
