Belmont took a 22-point loss the last time they faced off against Tishomingo County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 victory over the Braves on Friday. The Cardinals' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Belmont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylei Estes out in front who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores. Estes also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending two passes. Another rusher making a difference was Wyatt Phillips, who rushed for 120 yards.

Belmont's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Tishomingo County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belmont will venture away from home to face off against Red Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tishomingo County, they will head out to take on Adamsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
