Volleyball Recap: Aberdeen Central Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Watertown

Aberdeen Central faced Watertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arrows. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Arrows recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Aberdeen Central ultimately came up short, they really made Watertown work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 26-24, 25-23.

Watertown was led to victory by Andi Olson and Hensley Hogue. Olson had 29 digs, while Hogue had 12 digs and four aces. Olson has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Aberdeen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Watertown, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-8.
