Baseball Recap: Orange Grove Comes Up Short

Orange Grove fell victim to Bishop and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badgers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Eliazar Arias spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

Orange Grove's loss dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Bishop, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6-2.

Coming up, Orange Grove will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Santa Gertrudis Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for Bishop, they will face off against Calallen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something the Badgers surely won't give up without a fight.
