Chiawana waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They pulled ahead with a 70-69 photo finish over the Kennewick Lions. This was a revenge game for the Riverhawks: when they faced off against the Lions back in December of 2024, they had to take a 68-51 loss.

Chiawana has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Kennewick, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Chiawana and Kennewick should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Chiawana will square off against Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 162 places (35 vs. 197). Chiawana is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Similarly, Kennewick (ranked 58th) will meet Hanford (ranked 287th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
