Recap: Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings
After a string of six wins, the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Central Cabarrus, falling 81-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hickory Ridge has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Cabarrus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Daniel, who scored 23 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Daniel pulled down eight or more rebounds. Emari Russell was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five steals.
Hickory Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Central Cabarrus, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Hickory Ridge will be home for the holidays to greet Dreher at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Central Cabarrus will take on Chambers in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Chambers is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
