Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Academy Jaguars vs. Hardin County Tigers

Carroll Academy is 0-4 against Hardin County since January of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Carroll Academy Jaguars face off against the Hardin County Tigers at 2:00 p.m.

Carroll Academy is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 24th straight game dating back to last season back in December of 2024. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-24 heartbreaker at the hands of Tipton-Rosemark Academy. The contest was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but the Jaguars couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Hardin County beat McNairy Central 65-57 on Tuesday.

Hardin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Carroll Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Carroll Academy was dealt a bruising 62-25 defeat at the hands of Hardin County when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Carroll Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
