Baseball Game Preview: Augusta Panthers vs. Nicholas County Bluejackets

The Augusta Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Nicholas County Bluejackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Augusta and three for Nicholas County.

On Wednesday, Augusta came up short against Heritage Academy and fell 4-1.

Meanwhile, Nicholas County came up short against Campbell County on Tuesday, falling 14-1.

Nicholas County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxtyn Mynear, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Nicholas County now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Augusta suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Nicholas County in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
