Softball Game Preview: South Columbus Stallions vs. Heide Trask Titans

For the second straight game, South Columbus will face off against Heide Trask. The Stallions will host the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games South Columbus has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, South Columbus didn't have quite enough to beat Heide Trask and fell 4-2.

For Heide Trask's part, Dava Bullard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. Bullard has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trinitee Odom was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Cheyenne Saunders was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Heide Trask hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in eight consecutive matches.

Heide Trask's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for South Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
