Soccer Game Preview: Martin vs. Mission

The Martin Tigers will square off against the Mission Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Martin didn't have quite enough to beat Juarez-Lincoln and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Martin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 537th, while Juarez-Lincoln are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Mission was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Nixon by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for Mission in their meetings with Nixon: they've now lost four in a row.

Mission's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Martin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.
